Glove Care
How Many Pairs Do You Need?
For a full-time, year-round goalkeeper, we recommend 3-4 pairs of gloves per year to ensure peak performance and durability. A smart rotation system helps maximize glove lifespan:
-
Start with:
-
1 pair for training
-
2 pairs for games
-
-
Rotation System:
-
Once your first game pair starts to wear out, move it to training use.
-
Then, introduce a fresh pair for game play.
-
Keep rotating as needed.
-
Pro Tip: Playing on turf accelerates glove wear, so you may need replacements more frequently.
Glove Care Tips
✅ Before Use:
-
Always dampen the glove surface before playing. This reduces foam wear and improves grip by creating better contact between the ball and glove.
-
✅ Washing Instructions:
-
Hand wash only! Avoid washing machines.
-
Use very light soap (like Dawn) only if necessary.
-
Rinse thoroughly with plenty of water to remove all soap.
-
Gently press a cotton towel against the gloves to absorb excess water.
-
Air dry naturally—never use a dryer.
Proper Glove Storage
-
Allow gloves to fully dry between uses to limit odor and bacteria buildup.
-
Store in a glove bag to prevent unnecessary wear from rubbing against cleats, balls, and gear in your soccer bag.
Taking care of your gloves properly will extend their lifespan and keep your hands ready for every save. Stay sharp, keepers! 🧤⚽
